Mussel Box Lunch Menu

No frills or fuss, just simple, classic cooking using fresh and local ingredients to capture the true taste of Cornwall in a laidback environment.

Lunch is a super casual affair, run on a first come first served basis with no reservation required.  (However between mid-September until the end of May we do offer a Sunday lunch which is advisable to book.)

Grab a box of Padstow Estuary mussels to go, delivered twice daily by the boys from Rock Shellfish and available cooked in a variety of favourite flavours, or take a seat in our outdoor pod and check out our What’s Good daily specials board.

Lunch menu is served from 12-3pm


Classic Marinere


Saute leeks, saffron, cream and finished with dill



Curry leaf, coconut cream and cumin fished with coriander



Saute spanish chorizo, black olive, tomato finished with oregano



Roasted tomato, red pepper and smokey chipotle fished with parsley

Our own arancini served with truffled mushroom ketchup, topped with Cornish seaweed salt parmesan, pickled mushrooms

Fried with chipotle pepepr and served with touch of cornish sea salt

Brisket 'mac n cheese'


48hr beef brisket shredded through ‘Mac’ with our own parmesan sauce

Tiger prawn Pil Pil


Tiger prawns cooked in olive oil smoked paprika, chilli and garlic finished with parsley and served with sourdough

Dirty Burger


Brioche bun, prime beef patty, pulled smoked brisket, softened Cornish cheese, sliced pickles, gem, ‘box’ chipotle sauce, fries



Mussels, pancetta, peas, gem lettuce, samphire and a saffron cream, pressed potato

Oven baked pave of hake


Tomato, olives, Chorizo, chick peas and parsley

Little Ones

We happily cater for your little ones and also have colouring to keep them entertained. Just ask for a Children’s Menu.



Short but sweet, we offer a small dessert menu for eat-in customers, trialled and tested (someone’s got to do it!) from master Paticerierre ‘Pretty Little Pastries’.

Vegan, veggie or gluten-free? You’ll find something for everyone on our Mussel Box menu, or ask a member of staff if you’re unsure – they’re clued up on everything.

We also have a selection of alternative milks in the fridge for the dairy-free amongst us, we’ll do whatever we can to cater for all dietry requirements.
