Mussel Box Main Menu

No frills or fuss, just simple, classic cooking using fresh and local ingredients to capture the true taste of Cornwall in a laidback environment.

Lunch is a super casual affair, run on a first come first served basis with no reservation required.  (However between mid-September until the end of May we do offer a Sunday lunch which is advisable to book.)

All menus are samples only

Grab a box of Padstow Estuary mussels to go, delivered twice daily by the boys from Rock Shellfish and available cooked in a variety of favourite flavours, or take a seat in our outdoor pod and check out our What’s Good daily specials board.

Lunch menu is served from 12-3pm and Dinner 6-9pm


Classic Marinere


Saute leeks, saffron, cream and finished with dill



Curry leaf, coconut cream and cumin fished with coriander

Beer and Bacon


Sharps Atlantic IPA, back bacon, thyme cream and garlic



Roasted tomato, red pepper and smokey chipotle fished with parsley

Fennel, Leek and Saffron


Sauté fennel and leeks with white wine finished with a touch of saffron cream

Padstow landed crab, samphire, wakame & a thai coconut sauce

Padstow Mackerel


Padstow landed with Bombay potato's, mint yogurt and curry oil

Simply seared with black pudding, pancetta and a butternut puree.

Ham terrine


Smoked ham hock, baby vegetables, onion marmalade sour dough croute

‘Box’ chipotle sauce and micro coriander

Reggie’s 'Afganny' Chicken skewer


An unreal flavour that comes from charcoal and a special blend of spices served with Kachumber salad, Chatt Masala and mango yogurt

Reggies Fish and tiger prawn curry


Spices curated by Reggie are sent from india by his mum to create a full layered stunning fish curry. Served with Basmati and a naan

Sauté woodland mushrooms, caper beurre noisette, parmesan, pine nuts & pea shoots

Buttermilk Chicken Burger


Brioche bun, maple smoked bacon, Monterey jack, chilli jam, Black pepper Creme fraiche, rocket & fries

Catalan Fish and Shellfish Stew


John dory, Mussels, octopus, and prawns in a flavoursome broth with tomato, pepper & potato

Slow roasted tomato, baked gratin field mushroom, watercress & fries.

We happily cater for your little ones and also have colouring to keep them entertained. Just ask for a Children’s Menu.



Short but sweet, we offer a small dessert menu for eat-in customers, trialled and tested (someone’s got to do it!) by us and made in house. All desserts £7.50

Vegan, veggie or gluten-free? You’ll find something for everyone on our Mussel Box menu, or ask a member of staff if you’re unsure – they’re clued up on everything.

We also have a selection of alternative milks in the fridge for the dairy-free amongst us, we’ll do whatever we can to cater for all dietry requirements.
